Over the last several months we have shared a lot of Lean tools to use to take on Continuous Improvement projects in your organization.

The thing is that none of them will work without a learning culture.

If the team is set in their ways and believes "This is how we have always done it so it must be the best way" then it will be extremely difficult to make any significant progress.

A few ways you can create a learning culture is to make it part of the organization's core values.

Meet with your teams and find out what they want to learn more about and create plans to follow through with that learning.

We also want to lead by example and encourage knowledge sharing. Guide your team in the process of teaching and learning.

You may be surprised how much they are on board with becoming a learning culture if given the opportunity.
